The Rushmare is a heavy suty solenoid controller access lock with a heavy duty handle. The rushmore is capable of supporting catergory 4 safety systems through it's 2N/C 1N/O contacts and is suitable for all types of hinging sliding access points with a good tolerance for miss-aligned guarding. The unit is locked by the solenoid when it is de-energised and open when energised. A mechanical key over-ride facility for the solenoid comes as standard.
The Rushmore is ideals suited to use on production cells and automated production and assembly lines where fast access is required.
Operation
When the mechinery is in operation the access door is locked via the de-energised solenold in the Rushmore. To open the guard, the machine is istructed to stop via the control circuit, on stopping a signal is sent to the solenold, which energises and allows retraction of the actuator, Removel of the actuator breaks two contacts and closes one. The breaking of the contacts ensures the machine cannot restart until the actuator is re-inserted and the conacts closed. A typical example of machine isolation and access, controlled through a safety relay, is shown below.
