| Description |
The Modular Ball Valve Interlock (MBV) is an integral valve interlock designed to enable the locking off, in either the open, closed or both open and closed condition, of 90 degree turn valves. Fitting the MBV enforces a logical, predetermined and safe sequence of operation where the control of flow paths is critical. The design is a great step forward in the provision of valve interlocking with technical information required on the valve being reduced to the stem dimensions and the body width.
The MBV is designed to operate as part of an integrated safety system, controlling the operation of quarter turn ball valves in safety critical applications. A typical example of where the MBV can be used is shown below. |

| Requirement - To prevent unauthorised closing of one of the lines ensuring that one line is always open. Solution - Interlock valves in both open and closed positions having an inter-changeable key between the valves ensuring that the first valve is open before the second is closed. |
